Let The Fun Begin As You Prepare For Your Holidays!

Updated: Dec 6, 2021

Thanksgiving has come and gone. The Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sales are over for 2020. Many of us are still struggling trying to understand what is going on with the Covid-19 Virus. We are also hopeful that a vaccine will be available soon. And, Christmas is right around the corner.

As a 'SENIOR' with some health issues, I am doing my best to stay safe, and yet I want to have gifts for my loved ones, even if I don't end up seeing them over the holidays.

Online shopping has certainly become a big hit for those of us unable or unwilling to venture out. I do a fair amount of online shopping and bill paying and am so pleased I have kept my computer skills sharp, especially now, with the current health crisis upon us.

Amazon continues to be my 'go to' shopping place for most of my online purchases.

And Here's a Few Reasons Why:

  1. The prices are usually pretty competitive

  2. Shipping is usually FREE for Prime Members

  3. You can get a 30 Day Special Prime Account and cancel after the holidays

  4. Lots of reviews by real shoppers on most products

  5. You can ask questions about the product right beside the review section

  6. There are added coupons without needing a special code (Green Tab)

  7. Updated contact throughout the whole shipping experience

  8. Lightning Deals and Deal of the Day Offers all the time

  9. Their credit card gives great rewards and each time I pay with it, they tell me exactly how many rewards I have available (I can use the rewards right on the purchase I am making)

  10. They have an excellent return policy

I really don't believe there are any real Cons, except for there may be some places you may occasionally find the item a little cheaper. However, in my experience with Amazon, when I compared all the other Pros, the price difference needed to be significant for me to choose another online company. It has happened, but very

infrequently.

Here are some of the excellent Holiday Sales that are active right now. If you decide to shop online at Amazon, I hope you can find some value in what Amazon has to offer. Happy Holidays...

ADDITIONAL TIP ABOUT SIGNING UP FOR PRIME

Here is a tip that I have used: Before signing up with a permanent Prime Account, I started with the 30 day FREE account to see if I felt it was worth the annual fee. At any time during that 30 days, I was able to use the Prime Account, get the free, next day shipping, Amazon Videos, Special Deals for Prime Accounts, and more.

Needless to say, I did not cancel at the 30 day point, and never once have I regretted being a Prime Member. However, if you feel it just didn't pay off for you, all you need to do is just cancel before the 30 days is up. And, whatever you purchased during that 30 day period is yours to keep and after the cancellation, it simply means you won't get the Prime benefits any longer. It's a smart way to try something out, without costing anything. Just remember to cancel if you decide it's not for you.

See the article below (BLACK FRIDAY IS HAPPENING NOW) on what Prime has to offer and how to get started with them.

Before I retired, I never had a problem knowing what to buy for the kids. My students were always talking about the latest trends. I could even ask them about what their siblings liked to get for gifts. And, each year it was different.

Having been retired for almost 10 years now, it's not as easy anymore, that's for sure. Since I no longer have access to the experts (my students), I have found another way to research what kids, today, are interested in.

Now, I make sure I know how old the kids are I am shopping for and am able to find the latest trends simply by clicking on their age group. The other important part of shopping for kids is using the category choice. Some kids NEVER want to get clothes, and others are excited about getting clothes. From books to electronics, there are lots of choices.

Find out what the kids in your life might like for a gift this year...Happy Shopping!

Check out the 'Black Friday-Worthy with the Holiday Dash Sales Event. Each day you can shop the Deals of the Day until 12:00am (PST)- 3 am (EST). Then the clock resets with new offers for another 24 hour sale. Just click the photo below to see what shopping deals are available today...

Don’t forget about your puppies. We love 💕 to include the pets in out holiday celebrations. And they get so much attention when they are all dressed up. The kids seem to love having the pets be part of the fun, too. So, if you're looking for some cute ideas, be sure to check out what's available for this year's holiday selections. Also, keep in mind, that often times, it's really more fun for us than it is for the dogs. If you do choose to dress them up, be mindful that if they seem uncomfortable, they probably are.

*Additional Savings: While shopping, if you see a green coupon code on the item, click on the item, and be sure to click the orange coupon box and the savings code will be automatically added at check out. These coupon codes are limited time offers.

Wearing a Face Mask isn't really much fun as far as I am concerned. However, there are definite times when I am really glad I have one with me. Whether businesses require them or you just feel safer wearing them in a crowd, you now can have some choices in the kind you wear.

Recently I did some research about different Face Masks that are available and was surprised to see such a wide variety of masks . To keep with the theme of this post, I have added some links to Holiday or Seasonal Masks that are fun and allow us all to choose what we want.

For the holidays there are tons of clever and stylish masks available. And during the Fall Season, it's a very popular time for Football, and other sports, as well. So, if you are wearing a mask, here are a couple choices that you may enjoy wearing (not sure enjoy is the right word, but you know what I mean).

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year. It is a family holiday that is enjoyed by all ages. Friends, and sometimes even strangers, are often included at the Thanksgiving Table. Yes, I do love Christmas, however, Thanksgiving tends to be for everyone. Your religion doesn't matter, there isn't the hustle and bustle of shopping and spending money; it just isn't as stressful. And most importantly, it's the time of year for us to reflect on what's happening in our world and give thanks for the many blessings we do have. This year, 2020, has not been an easy one for many families, and yet, sharing our gratitude with others, no matter how small it might be, feels good.

Preparing can be lots of fun as we get ready for this special holiday. If you are the kind of person that likes to decorate and add some special touches to your home, I have included some decorating ideas that may be helpful. Regardless of how you celebrate your Thanksgiving, I wish you a peaceful holiday filled with gratitude...Happy Thanksgiving!
